Windmill
Harbour is a 170 acre private residential community and
the first plantation that you reach coming across the J.
Wilton Graves Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway onto
Hilton Head Island. The 500 residential units in the Plantation
range from patio homes on the lagoon, to harbourfront townhomes
and villas, to estate lots with homes graciously situated
in the midst of live oaks and palms. Over 80% of homes have
water views. Windmill Harbour is home to The South Carolina
Yacht Club (SCYC) and is largely a boating community. The
15 acre marina, with 260 boat slips, is one of the best-protected
ports on the Island and is operated via a lock system. While
the SCYC implies boating by name, it also features one of
the very best dining and clubhouse facilities on Hilton
Head. The Club also has a great swimming and tennis facility
which overlooks the marina.
